Understanding Dual SIM Technology
Dual SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) technology enables a mobile phone to support two SIM cards, each associated with a different phone number and network. There are two primary types of dual SIM configurations:
Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS): Both SIM [Login to see the link] cards are on standby mode, allowing the user to receive calls and messages on either number. However, when one SIM is in use (e.g., during a call or data session), the other becomes inactive temporarily.
Dual SIM Dual Active (DSDA): Both SIM cards are active simultaneously, enabling the user to receive calls and messages on both numbers at the same time, even during a call or data session. This configuration is less common and typically found in higher-end devices.
